The mixed-use project in Portland's Goose Hollow neighborhood will offer modern residential and office spaces that prioritize sustainability and community-focused design.
Turner Construction Company celebrated the completion of vertical construction with a topping-out ceremony for the Press Blocks project in Portland, Oregon. The milestone marks significant progress on the mixed-use development, which includes a 23-story residential tower and an office building designed with a unique hybrid of heavy timber, steel, and concrete.
The residential tower spans 322,000 square feet and will offer 341 housing units, helping to meet Portland's increasing demand for sustainable housing. Adjacent to the tower, the 48,000-square-foot office building embodies modern design and material innovation. The project is supported by four floors of below-grade parking and is targeting LEED Silver certification, demonstrating the project’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
“Reaching this milestone reflects the extraordinary dedication of our team and partners,” said Stacy Ramakers, Project Executive, Turner Construction Company. “Press Blocks will bring much-needed sustainable housing and innovative office spaces to Portland. We are deeply grateful to Security Properties, Mithun, and the skilled trades workers who have contributed to this milestone. We look forward to seeing the finished project come to life.”
The Press Blocks development is slated for completion in late 2025. Once finished, the project will enhance the Goose Hollow neighborhood with modern residential and office spaces that prioritize sustainability and community-focused design.
