The project expands Forsee Power’s ability to serve the electric vehicle market in North America.
Turner Construction Company is proud to announce the grand opening of Forsee Power’s new 138,000-square-foot lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility, marking the French company's first U.S. location. The $13 million facility in Columbus, Ohio, is a major step in expanding Forsee Power’s production capacity to serve the growing electric vehicle (EV) market across North America.
The state-of-the-art facility will be used for research, development, and the manufacturing of EV batteries for a range of vehicles, including buses, equipment, and both light and heavy electric vehicles. Designed to meet the needs of North American customers, the site complies with “Buy America” standards, further positioning Forsee Power to support the regional supply chain and the U.S. federal vehicle funding programs.
Forsee Power’s expansion into the U.S. comes at a critical time as demand for electric vehicles and advanced battery systems continues to grow. The Columbus facility is expected to create significant economic impact, with plans to recruit 150 employees by 2028. The company will offer industry-specific training and collaborate with local universities and schools to develop educational programs focused on the battery systems industry.
Distinguished guests, including the company's founder, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, and other industry leaders, attended the grand opening event to celebrate this milestone.
