State-of-the-art hospital to expand access to comprehensive healthcare in Washington, D.C.

April 15, 2025 – Turner Construction Company joined local leaders and hospital staff to celebrate the grand opening of the $337 million Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, a transformative healthcare campus serving Southeast Washington, D.C.

The 363,441 square foot, six-story acute care hospital offers a full range of inpatient services—including labor and delivery, maternal health, women’s services, general surgery, behavioral health, and a verified trauma center. The facilities are set to enhance access to quality care while providing a foundation for long-term community well-being.

The project includes a 75,000 square foot, four-story outpatient health services complex and a 145,000-square-foot parking structure with capacity for 500 vehicles.

“Delivering this transformative healthcare facility has been a tremendous honor for our team,” said Darien Grant, Vice President and General Manager at Turner Construction Company. “From day one, we’ve been committed to building more than a hospital, aiming to support the community—create jobs, invest in the workforce, and ensure this project reflects the values and needs of the people it serves.”

Community impact was central to the development of Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center. The project supported more than 2,300 jobs, including over 300 hires from Washington, D.C.’s Wards 5, 7, and 8, contributing to local economic growth. The facility is also pursuing LEED Silver certification, aligning with Turner’s broader commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
