HOCHTIEF Projektentwicklung has let around 3,100 square meters of space at its Loftwerk office project at the Helfmann Park office development in Eschborn. This means that around 46 percent of the office space in the first construction phase of the office complex has now been let off-plan. St. Jude Medical, a company involved in medical equipment technology, will take up residence in October 2012 with almost 100 employees. Construction work on the first phase, with a gross floor area of over 7,700 square meters, is due to start in April 2011.
The Loftwerk office building will be constructed in two phases on the 7,150 square meter site. The total floor area of 14,300 square meters is split between a U-shaped and an I-shaped building. The facades and the interior rooms will be fitted-out with the typical elements of loft architecture such as floor-to-ceiling lattice windows and the corresponding style features. The office complex is designed to meet the sustainability criteria of the German Council for Sustainable Building (DGNB).
