HOCHTIEF Projektentwicklung has sold the logistics center at Niedersachsenpark near Rieste/Neuenkirchen-Vörden which it completed in 2009: AXA Real Estate Investment Managers acquired the complex for its European logistics investment vehicle. It was agreed that no details of the purchase price would be disclosed. The 42,000-square-meter hall and a separate rental area of 2,000 square meters for offices and social zones have been let to a French carmaker to use it as its North Europe Spare Logistics Center.
This conveniently located complex comprises a conventional pallet shelving unit with a spacious picking area, a hazardous materials warehouse and two annexes for administration and freight scheduling. It is possible to retrofit the complex for other uses as well. The building’s warehouse area can, for example, be expanded by up to 15,000 square meters, or split into several, smaller units. Niedersachsenpark stands on the intersection of the East-West and North-South transportation routes and has its own highway access. The sale was brokered by BNP Paribas Real Estate.
